Documentation céline duval is the identity of artist Céline Duval (b. 1974, France) that she has used since choosing to work on private photographs she finds, collects, changes, and publishes in various formats. The artist does not take the pictures herself, and her attention is directed towards anonymous shots and representations of all kinds that look at body, time, and history. With her micro-company, Duval seeks to erase the traces of aging that carry these negatives. Her approach consists of classifying, ordering, and prioritizing these photographs by thematic and iconographic categories, and also, sometimes, "performing" the images during one-off events. Documentation céline duval has been exhibited at the Spot in Le Havre, the Kunsthalle in Mulhouse and at the Center de la photographie in Geneva.
